is it worth it ?

  Fiesta RS Turbo & Pug 206
I was thinkin about stripping my car out just to get the best power/ weight ratio. I was thinkin about gettin rid of my sub and amp in the boot and get rid of my rear seats. I've heard the rear seats weight quite alot. Have any of u guys stripped yours out and the main thing is did u notice the diference ? Pics?

it doesn't take long to take it all out, so may as well have a go and see what you think

it won't make a startling difference, but you should be able to feel it

yes its worth it, but only if you go the whole way imo! loosing 200kg+ make alot of difference! back seats alone wont make a noticeable difference to make the effort worth it tbh.

If your going to remove everything. Seats, Rear cards, boot s**t, spare wheel.

It probs will make a decent difference. And it doesnt even take that long to put it all back in tbh.

:)

Im at 827kg (1/6th tank fuel when weighed) with a full cage that was around 35-40kg...what ive removed is:

* Lighter Engine (F4R)
* Removed Bonnet Skins
* Removed Boot Skin
* Removed Door Skins + Bars
* All Windows Polycarbonate
* Sunroof Frame Cut Down + 3mm Polycarb rather than glass
* Auxiliary Fuel Tank Removed
* No Heater Matrix or Blower Unit
* Lightweight Battery (5kg)
* No Dash (Apart from the Top)
* All Trim Removed
* All Sound Deadening + Carpets Removed
* Lightweight/Bucket Seats
* Cut Down 'Bare Minimum' Looms

Still got the tar to remove from the doors, but thats about it really. If it didnt have the cage it would be sub 800 with ease, but not very safe lol.
Got some more to remove yet, and got to collect some wheels that will save me 3kgs per corner, so another 12kg off the total there :)

depends how obsessed you get with it really.

Doesn't float my boat as i have to do quite a few miles. would annoy me tbh.

yes worth it if you can live with the noise:Dnowt wrong with free power:evil: why do you think Renault produce cup models;)

I have heard it loosens up the back end, due to the lack of weight on the rears. Should be a pretty easy job though mate and easy to put back in if you don't like the noise ;)

I think it ruins the point of the clio TBH, it's a car you can blast when you want but also taxi when needed :)
