Is SRP a good cleaner?

  Not a 320d
Ive got to valet a black VW taureg or whatever it is.

Its not a car thats been done before.

My origional plan was BlackHole and then Glasur. (Hes buying decent wash/drying gear).

However, I have a strong feeling I will need to clean the paintwork up. I dont really want to use my Blackfire polish. Its expensive and ive got half left.

Could I use SRP followed by Blackhole?

Gally mentioned using Blackfire then Blackhole but as I said, dont want to use it.

I have a strong feeling ill need to give the car a bloody good detox. De tar, clay.

I know SRP is a cleaner, but is it actually decent? I havent used that s**t in like, years.

Yes it is it does a bit of everything. Cant see the point in going black hole after SRP, would only use blackhole after an abrasive stage or as a 1 stage pre-wax glaze myself.

Srp+Blackhole is fine mate.

I'm sure there will be a million people telling you that they are the same thing but they're not really.

You should always polish after claying as you know claying itself inflicts marring.

If polishing isn't an option then a filler or filler polish will be fine. :)

HTH. Blackhole on black will blow the owner away. Get some hard durable wax on after blackhole though.

I know SRP has cut in it, and that it fills. I just wondered how well it would clean up paintwork. I wasnt sure if its cleaning ability was s**t.

I hate that stuff. Does it actually look good on black? i remember it making my paintwork dull, cloudy and muting the flake.

Ive got Fk and dont really think much to it, sure it looks okay ish but it doesnt strike me as being that durable. Ive been told he wont look after it atall. So Looks like its srp and Fk1000p/Colly 476. f**k the black hole.

I used srp to get some scratches out the missus's car, worked well after a bit of work, then did my whole car in it, really impressed, nice beading and lasts. Just need to invest in something to go on top of it. Something decent but not too much cost!!
