It'll look ok if you're sitting 30 feet away from it but I wouldn't want to watch SD material on such a large screen in a normal sized lounge.

Personally if I was getting a new TV it would be a 1080P 42" Plasma.

I have a 42" now but it cost more than that.Just thought it was a good price

It's a good price yes but at 50" you need 1080p for sure..
