itunes account without card?

i dont have a bank card atm because i left it in a mates house and hes gone away..... woops
am i able to set up a account to get free apps until i get my bank card back?

Dont think so. You used to be able to do it with just a voucher.

you can set up an account without any payment info on PC/Mac iTunes.

Yes you can.

I set up my account a couple of weeks ago without assigning a card to it. There is an option when you start your account. A list of cards are displayed and at the end there is the choice to start an iTunes account without a card.

EDIT. Just noticed the link that shows you what I meant.
