itunes...songs with no album/song name

say i transfer files over and they are just called track 1, 2, 3...is there any way i can update them so itunes allocates them properly? anyway also can on an mp3 file rename the artist/album fields?

Yeah, right click on the song and select 'Get Info'. You can then update the track details.

If you have whole albums / artists, select all the songs by holding down CTRL and then right cick, 'Get Info'.
