Javascript issues on YouTube

Trying to watch videos on YouTube and it keeps coming up with

Hello, either you have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. and a link to get Flash Player.

I have the latest Flash Player. Javascript as far as I'm aware is turned on. I'm using IE8. Any ideas what I can do? Or where I can check that Javascript is turned on?
