Jetwash

What do you think? Better than nothing/the automatic carwash?

I discovered the Tesco jetwash today, where you pay for the time you use, so you don't run out halfway through the rinse section.

For someone without a hose, this is quite a good replacement, but wondered what you detailing nuts thought.

Nothing wrong with it at all. If you don't have access to anything at home/work, a jet wash once a week should help considerably.

If your paintwork is already properly sealed n s**t, then the worst of it will fall off with a good pressure wash. FAR preferable to asking the car park boys to wash it with a thimble full of dirty water and a brillo pad.

I agree.

Which is why I'll admit to Chris that I should have bought something with RWD and not an Audi...

I thought EK9s were FWD?

I was waiting to exit a petrol station today (again) and had been sat there for like an hour, when an EK9 driver flashed me and let me out. TBH I don't think I've ever seen one in RL. It did look pretty awesome.

Clay. Polish. Wax/seal and the water will fall off. So will the dirt on future washes. Plus it will stick less to begin with.

I'm no expert mind you lol.

i use them to blast out s**t from the arches/ birdshit.

Haha yeah that's actually exactly what made me go to the jetwash rather than doing it myself, the roof was covered in poo and the arches were full of mud from a trip down a muddy lane on Sunday.

Bit disappointed with the finish now, it looked great yesterday but it's really patchy today. Probably stick to the Shell one in the future.
