Just been playing GoW

WOW, stunning, smooth and fun. I don't want to spoil it for myself so only had 15 minutes but I can't wait for it to arrive next week now.

The footage we have all seen is spot on but looks even better when playing it yourself.

This one lives up to the hype. :approve:

whats it actually like? is it true third person view or is it like Res Evil 4 where the body is just off centre and a bit closer?

from some of the videos it looks quite linner too

It's a bit like a shoulder cam, but when you run it drops into an almost news program like cam. You know what I mean, someone running after someone with a camera. When you use cover you obviously see yourself front on, and you get the option to blind fire or step out of cover and lay some smack down.

I'm still not a fan of the character models, although they are really well done, it's just not the kind of subject matter I like.

It's the best looking console game I've ever seen up to now.

I don't know if it opens up, I'll ask one of the lads who's played it a lot, but it is linear which isn't a bad thing at times, think COD.

cool, thats the one thing that really gets my back up in some games is the camera angles, it can make or break a game.....sound slike this could be rather good though!

It all felt a little clunky to me but then I'd only just picked it up. I watched Stu play it and he was using cover, jumping over things and bouncing of walls like it was second nature.

I'm the opposite, I've done all the "activities" (cos you unluck loads of shiz that makes the main missions a lot easier ) and finished all the rollerz and the kings, just got to finish off the carnalles (sp)

I've finished Saints Row and done all the stuff I actually want to. I'm sick of it now. lol Got 450 points from it up to now.

I've also done as much as I can in TDU. The multiplayer stuff is impossible as no one is racing it, the trade part is broken, and doing 5000km is boring so I'm done with that. Did everything else though of course. 880 points from that.

I finished NFS Carbon career mode in two days so now just have the Challanges and online stuff to do if I can be bothered. 120 points for that.

I've already got a copy of COD3 available at work, provided I remember to bring it in each day, and when my boss finishes Splinter Cell I might give it a go see what it's like.

Roll on GoW and Rainbow Six. :approve:

haha I know, but you unlock loads of weapons and stuff to keep at your crib so free ammo for everything, and loads of discounts at all the shops, increase your energy/resistance to certain attacks and increase your stamina etc...

i fed up with the graphics quality in sr constant dropout, tearing etc etc seems to have started since the update

worst place for drop out has been when i have been driving kings mag head towards freckle bitches from the church go up onto the freeway to the left then take the first exit and as you get to the top for me usually the car vanishes and im sat in mid air and afew of the floor textures just vanish too

I was getting it lots when it came out, but it's been fine since.

In fact I've not had any crashes for the last couple of months.

cod3 crashed on me last night, that is less linear than cod2, you can choose between two different directions in missions.

got saints row but it has never been in the machine lol.

should get a good week of cod3 in beforegow arrives as i pre-ordered from pcworld and i doubt i will get it for release date.
