Hello Guys i bought a 172 on sunday which i intend to use mainly as a budget track car. My question is regarding the exhaust, at the moment it has a very loud backbox which is doing my head in. But im not sure if its a performance catback system or someone has just welded the back box to the standard system, it all does look very new from the cat and it has 2 silencers. I measured the bore and majority is 2.25 inch but a couple of places towards the backbox are 2 inch.
Now do i just get a decat pipe fitted an change the back box to a queter one or will this still be restrictive? or do i need to get a full performance system from the decat all the way to the backbox? I have attached a few pictures, thank you
