Hi I have just driven into my local town and out of nowhere the car has started to make a very very loud rattle it rattels at tick over and gets faster with the engine speed! It seems to be coming from the top end? Any ideas as to the cause of this Suddon rattle? I am now waiting for the AA as it's far to loud to drive it as it is:dapprove:

Hi thanks for the help. I have pulled the head off and it looks like it could be a little end bearing that has gone as if I turn the engine over untill number 2 piston is at the top of it's stroke I can push it back down a couple of mm. So not good news :-( thanks again for the help
