K-Tec Stealth - 2 months on....

  Black Ph2 172
So have had the exhaust fitted for 2 months now and here are a few thoughts:

- the exhaust has definitely got louder since been fitted and also is much louder when the car has been running for 10 mins or so
- definitely seems to pull better
- mpg seems to have actually increased?
- makes a nice popping noise when you let off the throttle

...only negative is that the system keeps hanging low which i believe may be because my mounts are knackered...other than that a great system which I would thoroughly reccomend :)

This is with the system jacked up so it's actually touching the car (ie as high as it can possibly go)

I have seen some on here that are completely Stealth I think? Mine was when first fitted but I think as exhaust has expanded it now hangs a bit lower?

I've had mine about the same amount of time as you. I used brand new exhaust mounts when I fitted it, and it's still basically hidden behind the bumper.

However inspecting it the other day, I noticed that the mounts seem to be showing signs of wear already. I might use the 'reinforcement' technique mentioned in the guides section.

Could you post a pic up mate of what your exhaust looks like? Where did you buy your mounts from?

Cheers

i have had mine for a year...and you can see no exhaust at all. get a new exhaust mounts and reinforce them up so they are almost solid and have a play around.

Haven't got any pics to hand I'm afraid... Basically you can't see it, so looking at the picture higher up this thread, if it were my car I don't think you'd see the exhaust from that angle.

Mounts were from K-Tec as well.

but obvioulsy didnt fit right. so i bashed the exhaust clamp with the mallet until it looked like it lined up. I havnt seen the reinforcing guide but i packed mine with rubber hose and then a bolt inside the rubber hose in the middle. Its not very pretty but you dont see it so not that fussed.

Does the ph2 bumper hang lower than a ph1 ?? You can still see mine even when the back box is jacked right up against the underside of the car
