172 cup
After having a search/read of other knock sensor issues, I cand find a definitive answer.
I've been running my 172 cup for over a year now with the knock sensor disconnected (no plug in the loom). It's not been intentional, but when I bought it, I noticed the plug missing, forgetting about it until today.
The car is logging no faults, pulls reasonably well with only an occasional stutter at 4k and idles as well as any other clio RS I've owned. The cars totally standard and was is only a tad slower than a 172 I broke last year (that had filter/exhaust/map), but I always put this down to the non-specialist cambelt change/standard setup).
Should I have a fault logged/idle issues as well as a drop in performance?
Thanks
