Knocking Noise- Drive Shaft????

Car  Clio MK2 172
Driving home from wrk Fri and noticed a knocking noise coming from the front driverside only when my steering is turned anti-clockwise whilst applying the accelerator. I can't get the car in the garage unitill Weds, the noise seems to be getting worse. Would anyone know or has had the same problem? I'm not sure what it is? I can't get the car in the garage until Weds, so I'm not sure if more damage will come of it if I drive it untill then.

If anyone can help or advise that would be great.

check the cv joints on the drive shafts see if they look ripped / torn or if they have greese coming out of them

my 106 if u had wheel turned and applied throttle it creeked / nockked , thats down to drivehsaft

ok, will do, do you think it will be ok to drive untill Weds? I dont want to cause more damage than needed.

my 106 was like it for 6 month + , if its just started it`ll prolly just be worn , or the rubers might need replacing

me personally id drive it just dont go booting it round corners , or booting it at all

u considered the wheel bearings , if u grab the wheel is there n e movement , even if theres no movement there still that possibility i think

Thanks for all your advice, I'll drive it like Miss daisy untill it's seen Weds which is going to be hard....nothing worse....

I've got the same problem, but mines started when i slid into a kerb on snow with my drivers side front wheel!
The clunking only happens when i accelerate!

Apparently the garage said the strut brace was fitted incorrectly which is causing the knocking noise to the wheel when it's turned whilst power is applied? Does anyone know how this would work? He's taken the brace off and getting new fittings for it tommorrow.

it "could" be the top mount bearing, i've seen loads of them shatter

ive got this noise, what exactly is te top mount brearing?

I'm still getting a knocking from the NS rear side of the car - garage can't diagnose a fault could it be the exhaust...?

Only happens when going about 5MPH when going full lock to the right....?
