it came with my koni suspension.

Its hard to put in word, but it does look like they are bump stops. The go on the silver sliding shaft that goes up and down, the rest at the bottom and are there if the suspension bottoms out.

Correct.....I kept my original renault ones as they have the built in sleave that covers the top of the shock too.
