bare with me here, about 2 weeks ago i put a new .rst file on my phase 1 172 using the RStuner, quality bit of kit and was really happy with it, and the service i got. For the last year i have had a ktec stealth supersports with a decat fitted, even after the .rst file was loaded up the idle was much nicer but it didnt feel any quicker.
Now 2 days ago i got rid of the decat(now for sale as is the sstraight through section) put the cat back on and then put a mid silencer back in place (i am now doing lots of motorway miles not nice with the old system), for some reason the car now feels much faster pickup with the car and midsilencer back in place, now do you think this is because the RStuner has gone through the 10 drive cycle or is it just me?
seems just a bit confusing as I always thought the decat was supposed to free the revs up but all it seemed to do with my car is give it loads of flat spots all over the rev range.
also what is the 10 drive cycle that is spoken about on the RStuner?
anyone else gone from the exhaust combination i had to the new combination and found the same? or care to elaborate as to why it seems the car is quicker?
