If you're getting virtual memory warnings you really ought to be thinking about putting more memory in. It's pretty cheap these days, I'd see what type you'd need and price it up.

if its a work pc, i doubt he would be able to do that. my work pc is dire, it crashes everytime i want to print something.

Then why haven't you reported it to your IT department? :)

ha ha, if its like our place, then u ring some place 400 miles away and they log the fault and then they send a engineer to come and up do what i could have done over the phone.

yup, what harry said. plus, im an apprentice, and im right at the bottom of the ladder. im lucky ive got a bloody pc. im thinking about breaking it all together, in the hope i get a new one.

If its crashing continually then it needs a reformat or similar... doesn't matter whether your an apprentice or what, if you use the computer for work then you have every right to report it and get it sorted.
