lambda sensor

im thinking about replacing my cat with a decat pipe on my mk2 ph1, how do i go about removing or tricking the lambda sensor?

What sort of car I take it your talking about a 172?
If so (well regauardless) all you have to do is disconnect the sensor after the cat and tape the wires up. thats it if the sensors connected then the ECU will throw an error and so you get the light on the dash but you won't loose any power etc.

naw its just the 1.2 8v...i wish it was a 172.

You should be fine then just remove the sensor if there one there. I don't think the 1.2 has a second after cat sensor.
