Laptop help

Well...i was pressing some buttons one of them being Fn and i dont entirely know what the other button i pressed was possibly could have been F4?! :S

I know should have left it alone but now all i have is a black screen and it wont turn off (currently using my dads laptop)

Anyone know how to sort it? I am hoping that if the battery runs down it might reset itself when i turn it back on? As it has no reset button

Sounds like you've dimmed the screen/turned the lcd panel off

It wont come back on though tried pressing the ext/int display switch buttons?

press and hold the power button or take the battery out and put it back in

Try holding fn and f5 to turn brightness back up if f4 turned it down?

or alt f4 then enter and enter again to shut it down, then turn it back on.

Thanks managed to sort it by taking out battery then safestart then Start up with previous sucessful configuration or something like that! Thanks to someone on here!
