Laptop NIC - no connectivity

Dell latitude D600 with onboard broadcom NIC using DHCP. All drivers installed correctly, doesn't seem to be a problem, yet when I connect CAT5 cable, I still get nothing. Cannot connect to the domain as I have no connectivity. Tried uninstalling and updating the drivers but no luck.

This laptop is a standard build at work, nothing different about it than the one I'm using and that one works.

i work on LOADS of these at work, sounds like a hardware fault, or possibly try re-installing the chipset drivers?

Silly question but have you checked the binding settings?

I'm always having to re-enable certain ones on our Dell C610's at work.
