Lazy questions

Hello guys,

Couple of questions for you....

Can somebody explain how turbos work and how and where they are fitted in the car... what is all this talk of ratios and bars etc... (could look on google.. but hence the subject)

Also... I ve got a brand new 182 and a fair bit of desposible income.. now when I got the car I thought it was cool (i still love it) but having watched the santa pod vids I can see there is a big diffirence in some of the clios out there..

My issue is can I mod my 182 in anyway and not void the warrany by renault and not send my insurance through the roof... although i am 26.. and not to worried about insurance.

I dont want to make an changes that would make the car look diffirent inside or out, basically I enjoy the look of the car right now and dont wont to look like something out of max power or something you would find down Mc donalds on a saturday night.

Cheers for you advice

Check out http://auto.howstuffworks.com/turbo.htmhttp://auto.howstuffworks.com/turbo.htm for info on turbos.

If you mod your 182 then the parts affected by the mods will not be covered under warrenty, but the rest of the car will. i.e. if you lower your car then Renault wont fix any wheel/susspension/other related parts under warrenty - anything not connected with the suspension will still be covered.

It depends on each insurance company what you will be charged for mods, some will allow small changes (like induction kits) without further charges. Obviously the more extreme the mod then the higher your premium will rise.
