  Revels Mum & Sister

Over the past 3 weeks my sunroof has started leaking. My car is a MK1 Clio 16V. It isnt the electric type just manual (non winding just a latch)

Anybody else had this problem. What did you have to replace and how much did it cost? Any other remedys??

Any help would be appreciated.

No mate doesnt leak there. Only leaks on the drivers side. Think the rubber seal might be up sh*t creak.

Will replace that and see what happens. Cheers anyway mate.

Anyone else?

Try cleaning the rubber seal (easier if you can remove the glass?) thoroughly with meths then give it a good smear with Vasoline. Quite often grit and dust builds up on the seal, especially over the winter period when the sunroof is not used so often. Water then seaps in though the crap via capilliary action causing drips into the cabin. If this doesnt work you will probably need a new seal after all. Hope this helps!

I had the same problem with my electric one in my valver. Firstly clean out all the crap that deposits in and around the sunroof and seal (mine had a green like mould in). I put some clear waterproof silicone gently around the arial and certain places around the actual seal, then give it time to dry, so far............. ived had no problems since

Liquid

GFs dad has this problem on his rover. Dealer told him it could be blocked draining channels. Check these by passing a Wire coat hanger down them.
