leather gaitor torn

quick question is it a common problem on the clio197cups that the leather gaitor round the gearstick rips. it looks really strange it 4 little tears like the points of a square i need ti get it fixed does any 1 also kno how much a new gaitor would be and is it easy to fit cheers
