Leaving for 1st Service - No Service Book

Just about to leave to take the 172 for its first service. Been going through my documents and there is no service book. Will they be able to give me a new service book at the dealers ? It is the1st service so the book would have been empty anyway.

Not a problem is it ?

The service should be logged on the system to retain your warranty.

Just got back and I am £155 worse off than before ! They didnt fix the 4k rattle as I was expecting and they said they checked the tracking but it feels the same to me !

They are ringing me up about the 4k rattle as I had to take out a mechanic in the car to show him the noise as he didnt hear anything ! Deaf b**tard !

All in all, I feel like I have paid £155 for a stamp in my nice new service book !

Spent the whole 3 hours talking to a very nice old man tho who told me how he had stomach cancer and had his stomach removed !

  Meg on pistonheads £6995

contact Reno HQ - I got a replacement for a Citroen service book from HQ a few years ago.

they will need verification of mileage etc. from dealer

Yeah, waited there as I went out of my way to go to a good dealer as the ones near me are a bunch of monkeys !

The dealer gave me a new maintenance service book so I am ok now lads.

Just had a call from the dealer, they are ordering the part for the exhaust so hopefully the 4k rattle will go until I get a performance exhaust anyway. Just means the car will have to go back in for it to be done tho.

Also, this will be done under warranty even though my car is in its last year.

All in all, good news I think.
