LED W5W sidelights for MK3?

Looking at getting a set of these later today: http://www.powerbulbs.com/product/philips-xtreme-vision-360-led-w5w-t10-4000k-twin

Anyone had any issues with upgrading the sidelights to LEDs? Either with canbus error messages, police or MOT tests?

Would be pairing them with either:

http://www.powerbulbs.com/product/philips-xtreme-vision-130-h7-twin at 3700k or:

http://www.powerbulbs.com/product/philips-whitevision-h7-twin at 4300k

I know nothing about colour temps so which is more likely to match the 4000k LEDs? Or are there better combinations out there that someone can suggest?

Really no need to spend that much on the LED's for the sidelights. Something from eBay (I always use the seller: partsulike_co_uk for my LED's).

No need for canbus bulbs, regular LED's will be fine. As long as you stick to a white light (nothing above 4300k) you will be fine. The higher temp you go the further into blue and violet the light output.

Can't answer the other questions though!

Thanks, I'd chosen the Philips as all their bulbs I've had in the past have lasted ages and I've read so many posts where cheap eBay bulbs have blown after a few months. I'll look into your seller though, cheers for the info.

My sidelight bulbs have been in for about 12 months so far, no issues to date. They arent the cheapest on eBay, but they arrive quickly and i'm fairly certain its a guy that's runs Meganesport.net

I use bulbs from fizzmo, cheap but work fine.

No issues using them for sidelight/numberplate light bulbs etc as long as they aren't stupidly bright or a silly colour.
