lights/instrument panel

I have a slight problem and wondering if any of you can shed any light.

When i put my head lights on my interior dials and digital display (radio, temp etc) dims. only started doing it the last few days.

Anyone got any ideas?

mines always done it for some reason, i would like to know too

mine does it to, i think its supposed to. because at night you dont need them as bright

happens with radio display, not sure if dials do unless you have a dimmer switch but radio display does
