I'm really worried about the number of swirl marks i seem to be generating. Cant understand where they are coming from... 2 bucket method! Megs mit, microfibre cloths SRP....

looked at the car in the sun the other day and it looks like its been thru a car wash... really not happy with myself

You've probably got the worse colour of the lot for showing up swirl marks mate .They are pretty much unavoidable after a while but black shows them up the more , silvers probably the best for hiding them .

i do use a lambswool mit..
er.... its a Halfords mirofibre cloth.... to apply SRP and another finer microfibre cloth to remove....

I would apply the SRP with a foam hand pad and remove with a better quality MF cloth.

What are you using to dry the car with ?

I would invest in a decent drying towel to then - Sonus Der Wunder or Micropak Ultra Soft.

Scratch X will be a lot of hard work to sort it, but if your willing to put the hard work in you will make some improvements. I still have marks in my Black Gold that where dealer/factory installed in mine even after machine polishing. I would be inclined to find someone local to machine polish it for you then maintain if safely after.

i dont think swirls are totally unavoidable, using lambswool mitts, microfibres etc, will be better, but you will eventually get some minor swirls
