Long time, now in USA

  1.8 16v Mk1 Ph1 + S14a
So, been many years since I had my 16v phase 1. Probably 14 or 15 years. I've been in the USA for 11. I looked a few years ago curious about getting a 16v over here in PA, USA, and I see a few that have made it over.

Kinda wondering if anyone knows of companies that export to the USA and help with paperwork etc for one? Or, alternatively, where might I find a USA based group of folk that might be able to help me on the journey?

My 16v always blew my mind at how it handled, even if that clutch pedal was an absolute SOB.

Any idea on parts availability these days? Panels, wear parrs, engine components, ecu etc? Obviously I would have to ship.

Another thing would be difference in petrol/gas, and needing to maybe retune.

I’d imagine parts for a phase 1 being quite hard to come by considering some phase 2 bits are effectively unobtainium these days.

There is a wealth of knowledge on here though👍

My mates brother restored a MK1 16v Clio about 3 years ago, he had no problem finding parts as most stuff is old enough to made by classic and heritage parts suppliers these days.

Mk2's on the other hand are still in the no mans land of too old for Renault or anyone else to bother making parts, and not old enough for there to be a decent classic parts supply.
