Looking for help editing a photo

I am looking to put the following photo onto convas as a gift for my mum.

I was wondering if there was anyone willing to edit it for me, as i have not got a clue what i am doing.

I want to improve it as the colour isn't great (taken on my phone) Maybe even look better in black & white? Maybe best starting with a different pic? Photobucket has also reduced it unfortunately.

Any help or advice will be much much appreciated.

ah brilliant, thank you ever so much. Thats some quality editing. I didnt even know the clouds were there! lol

Is there any way to reduce/soften the black all round? At a distance, the lines of the edges, and reeds stand out hugely. God that sounds really cheeky, it's not i promise. I tried doing something like what you have done and i failed massively. Now i am tweeking someone elses work lol.
