Lost my phone what to do?

Ok I've goen and lost my phone this weekend no way its ever going to be found since I locked the account and the battery was almsot dead and the phones got a lock so it anyone tries to take the now usless SIM out or the battery runs out the phone needs its password to make it work again.

But what to do I'm about 5 month into a contract with o2 will they charge me for a new SIM. I so should I get a second hand phone and use that or sign up for a new contract in which case how do I get Py PAC code from 02 as they have the phone number and a contract with me.

Any advice?

Can u change ur contract 5months in? Thought u had to wait until after 12/18. Do u not have insurace with them if so they usually replace the phone and sim for free. If they do charge u for a new sim doubt it will cost much u can buy PAYG ones in the shops for £5 at the most.

I starteted the contract about 19 month ago with a new phone. Rang them up after 14 month saying I wanted PAC code as I was paying a forune they cut line rental to £10 a gave me £100 credit if I signed for another year which I'm about 5 month into.

I did have insurance only just cancelled it a few month ago.

I'd like to keep the number as it was easy to remember.

just phone the up, cancel the contract that start a new one with them...
or tell them what happened demand a new phone and sim and if they say they can't do it then tell them your going to another network...they'll sort you out after that...

You should get sent out a new sim card but obviously not a phone. You should get the sim card free of charge! I did when i lost my mobile phone.

If your wanting a new line rental phone on a new contract, after 6 mths you can get your monthly tarriff cut to the cheapest tariff (usually about £12-£13) You will have to pay that until your contract is up and obviously on top of that the charge for your new contract.

just a case of finding a phone to put it in and of course
the loss of your numbers on your old sim !!

Phone them up and say your phone isnt recieving texts! They'll just send you a new sim FOC then!
