Low Power K4M

  Clio MK2 RSi
Hi guys, just after some advice

I drive a 2000 renault clio rsi, have noticed recently a problem with performance, particulaly over 3000 ish rpm, it ticks over perfectly, shows no engine management lights, but for some reason at around 3k you can feel it holding back, like its not pulling as it should, Ive changed the plugs, airfilter, oil, n still nothing

ive also noticed that while stationery, if i rev it and hold the revs at around 3500-4k it feels as tho its running lumpy, as tho it sounds as though a cylinder isnt firing correctly. Ive checked with a diagnostic, i have no fault codes stored on the ecu, and have also tried unplugging each coil individually whilst engine running to make sure of coil functionality. all seems fine

just want to know if its worth getting a replacement set of coil leads and coil itself or if my problem is more serious

thanks guys :)

Compression test followed by confirmation of correct timing would be my route.

Would do the same. Perhaps check also fuel filter. Does it have a cam-phaser? Normally this K4M shouldn´t have, but I learned in GB some of them have it and if so, might be also a reason.
