low temp thermostat





good in my book

that if u find ur valver runs hot

some have no problems but some moan about vavlers running very hot esp in traffic

yeh mine runs hot not what u want on a tuned car

ive got a low temp thermo an fan switch an it never gets hot now but temp still creeps up when booting it mite fuk thermo off now its summer see how it runs

your engine isnt streeted enough to run hot..........its probably a mix of near lean running/on the edge ignition curves and a coolant system full of crapola.

They dont do much.........
 


Some early F engines have an oil cooler, but not oil cooler Rads as such..

Mine has a cooler that fits on between the block and Oil filter..
 


Ive also seen bolt on heat sinks that wrapp around the the oil filter - though I dont know how effective they are - and if you risk damaging the filter....

On my pug I used to run a fairly high concentration of Anti freeze in the water as well as it has much better heat discipating properties than water!

Personally I would opt for the low stat as the valver usually runs on 2/3 temp all the time but I would defo get one if my car was tuned after all I wouldnt want to fry the engine by overheating it.
