MacBook Pro running slow

hey i've got a mac book pro and since coming back off holiday it's running really slow, takes ages to load pics on the forum and downloading from i tunes takes forever. it seemed pretty good before but think its got aids from being under the bed for two weeks.

anyone know how i can speed i up?

Is it not just your internet speed thats gone slow.

i thought it took a lil bit longer to start up the other day but everything else seems to be about the same it's just the internet thats gone really slow atm. will check on the other laptops how thier doing or do a connection test later, it there not a disc cleanup like on windows? i've only been on mac for 6 months and am not really up to speed yet

You could access Disk Utility and Repair Permissions, that sometimes helps.
