I'm after a 50mm but funds are low at the moment saving for a cam belt change.

But I've just remembered I have a Raynox 250 I used on my Panasonic FZ50 that should just about fit my 18-135 lens.

Caterpillar and Fly pics could have been good.

If you just stuck the +4 on would that not maintain decent enough depth whilst with cropping allowing decent close-up?

What lens were you using? 10-20?

Best macro I've seen were in Digi Photo magazine a few months back, involved backlighting all different types of fruit/veg/plants and backlighting them with an office lamp. Was really interesting seeing all the textures or each!

They do autofocus, however I've never used it, it's about 50 times easier to manually focus with any macro lens/set-up as the chances of the AF picking up the exact point you want (i.e. spiders eyes) is almost non existent.
