  Clio 1.6 16V

mpg is about the same (low 30s). In town at around 30 you can hardly hear its there but open it up and it gets quite manic! BTW its a Magnex 2x3.5" listed to fit to Clios up to Jan 2001. Fitted perfectly on my Aug 2002 MK2. Others on the forum have fitted this to MK2 Clio 172 without problems so should fit Cup also

cheers mate didnt see the text at the bottom of the pics..dumbass"!!!:)

which is the best place to get one? ripspped is 324.00 fitted?

sites quite low doesnt it? is that how it should be..thought it wold be a better fit i.e. closer to the bumper

Thats a good price. I paid £329 + 1 hrs labour at my local performance centre .... about £360 all in. If you fill in the gaurentee card you will get a certificate of lifetime warranty from Magnex

Probably looks quite low as Ive got a 40mm drop in my suspension. If its closer to the rear valence it will probably knock against the bumper over bumps. The rear exhaust mounts on the 172 are quite soft (diecast thingy with rubber star type internal support)

did it make a difference to the car dont mean massive bhp increases..have you got any more pics of your beast....just another quick question....andy lloyds 172 in the 172 gallery on cliosport.net which lexus lights are these and how much and where can get from? cheeers mate sorry to ask

  Clio 1.6 16V

Mid range feels a bit better. Ive got a K&N IK also so really need it chipped now to get the full benefit. Havent lost any low end grunt though which is common with performance exhausts. Not a great fan of lexus lights Im afraid .... in fact Ive changed my rears to MK1 . Think the best quality lights are probably from K-Tec. Euro Car versions didnt appear to fit very well. Latest picture of me rear end on right!

BTW the cup in the picture above to the left of mine has a K-Tec 2x3" exhaust fitted so you can get a visual comparison ..... oh and its loud!!

yours looks better mate..your car is wicked those wheels although only 16 inch look huge....could i get those struts for the cup even wthout lowered suspension... had a lowered clio before and kept plowing int things want to lower it but worried that with the cup splitter it would catch everything???? i want that subtle exhaust note and to kick in at 4-5 rpm but dont want it to be too loud especially going down the motorway..what do you think? think a purchase is necessary btw your lights look great very suprised how they look so good

  RB5 & 172

anyone with a magnex felt any difference since having the zorst?

mine now feels like it has lost the mad power surge it gets at 5k when it comes on cam. not sure if this is down to the fact that the torque curve is a little flatter so i dont notice the power surge? anyone else noticed this?

  Clio 1.6 16V

Cuppy: The struts on the front are standard. CD -40mm springs only. It is pretty low at the front now so have to reverse into parking spaces to avoid the kerbs! Ive measured the arch hieghts against a standard 172 and exactly 40 mm down front and back, so still has the necessary tail high attitude as you can se in the above thread.

Towser: Had the Magnex fitted at Falkland Performance, Glenrothes (www.falkland.co.uk). Gibbo is trying to organise a discount there at the moment.

Jimblive: Yep the power delivery has changed. Cant make up my mind if power is up or down. possibly the torque is actually peaking a bit lower in the rev range now? Ive also got an IK so think I ned to get the ECU fuelling remapped soon as there are concerns about lean running.

Thanks for that. I keep wondering about getting the exhaust done but might wait and see how Marc gets on with the discount thing.

If you have a search around youll find piccies and a link to a wav & mp3 of my K-tec, it not the quietest of exhausts and hard accelleration from 3500 to 5000 is when its at its loudest...... ask some of the guys that were on the Euro trip what they think :)
