Ive heard people say Clios are expensive to maintain.

IS this true, what are the survice costs for a 172, and things that will need replacing ect?

40+ mpg, 460 quid fully comp insurance... 180 quid on first 2 services & not a penny else spent in first 2 years on ownership!!!!

rubbish!!!

reno supplied figures for extra urban are 45mpg!!!

i get that easily on the motorway every day.... at 70-80mph

There not much more expensive than a 1.2 realy. However if you drive loads of hard miles costs are bound to higher. Plus youd uprate brakes etc which cost more than stock bits.
If I owned one Id be looking a brakes and front tyres lasting 10k (Ive got a lead foot). 12k and 48k services are £150 or so. 24k and 60k are £250. 36k is about £300. The 72 is he big one most eople go elsehwere none Renault unless they can get a cheaper dealership but cambelts alone is £500.

that not too high then in my opinon. must make sure the cambelt has been done already when i look at it.

its an 02 reg im looking at, done 45k i think.

And you believe everything Renault say to help them sell there cars do ya??

  172 cup'd extreme

45k is high for an 02, they stutter when idleing this is normal , make sure the aux belt has been done at 24k but it will need another at 48k - so take that into account in the price your paying. check the rear disks they are only thin but check for scores. make sure there are no warning lights on abs airbag check engine light.

airbag and service light maybe on which isnt a problem, Its just a loose connection under the passenger seat which is a common fault.
