Maxing out the 27" imac with 16gig ram? issues?

Ive seen a few issues popping up all over the web about problems with 'random shutdowns' after maxing out the memory.
Has anyone here done it without an issue?

Nope. We got our 27" iMac bout a month ago now and before it arrived I ordered the 16GB from Crucial. Fitted the RAM 2 mins after I removed the iMac from its box and haven't had any issues.
