Megs Clay Question.........

  VRS
ive used all sorts of clays ranging from the megs to the sonus greens and greys etc but i find that the megs white clay which comes with their detailing kits to be the best clay for getting the worst bits of crap off the lower parts of the car without being too abrasive like the sonus grey.

im trying to track down which clay it is which comes with the kit so i can buy a few packs of it on its own as i dont need any detailer.

ive got a big tub of last touch for using as a detailing spray so just need the clay, the question is which clay is it? lol

i dont want to go and buy a batch only to find its a slightly more/less abrasive version

i managed to go through to blocks of the stuff yesterday as the car was completly sh*tted up with what i can only assume is the left overs of 9 months of driving down farmers lanes, the clay was a lovely yellowy orange when i was finished lol

cheers

in total i got through 2 yeah lol only cos im fussy and relegate the clay to wheels only clay if its had a lot of use on the paintwork

i split it into smaller chunks but they got so sh*tty that i dont wanna use them on the paintwork again

couldnt beleive how much came off, i had to do it as when i washed the car last week, the car was still dirty from all the contaminants that it didnt look like i had cleaned it lol, anyway its spanking clean again now :D

The yellow polyclay I find pretty similar to the Megs one.

As for tar, try something like Stoner Tarminator. It's just a case of spraying on the affected area, waiting 60 seconds and the tar by then has dissolved, so can just be wiped off with a soft microfibre.

It's much safer than claying for removing tar and sticky stuff. I did take a few pics today as my car was covered, but I can't find a lead for my phone to upload them. :dapprove:
