Missing rev limiter occasionally

Afternoon all,
Just wondering really as it's happened to me twice now! When giving my 182 some beans it's fine in all other gears...but third gear seems to be missing rev limiter occasionally!

I don't like taking it all the way there but I fancied a blast and expected the limiter but it just kept going which obviously is not good! I don't want to bounce my valves lol

Anyone else experienced this?

It's had a jms remap, but it's just weird because it hits the limiter every other time I've tried it in 3rd gear :S

I didn't take it too far, but it was far enough to realise it wasn't there :/

are you sure you may have hit the cold limiter before, and now you are finding the warm limiter?

cold limit is circa 6500, warm limit is 7200 1st/2nd, 7000 in 3rd/4th/5th, or 7500 for mapped cars.

what did you rev it to?

Yeah I know where the cold limiter is, and I've hit the hot limiter after a good long drive and it's definaltely missed it!
Not watched the revs when its occurred really, think it was 8kish just it normally get 90 there abouts in 3rd and this was just over a 100 and was absolutely screaming!

Will keep an eye out next time it happens and have a looksy

I reckon 100mph would be right about 7500rpm in 3rd... I think I usually shift at ~155km/h and that's before the limiter.

Limiter in my saxo vts is about 105 in 3rd and 140 in 4th

You must have a weird set of ratio's or a misleading speedo to have that much variance in speed! 100mph was on the 7500 in my old VTS in 3rd, where 4th only ran to 127 @ 7500
