Mk1 Central locking

Hi all..

Basically i was wondering if mk1s actualy have central locking or not??.....by the gearstick there is a duble button...one with a red light and one with a lock....i assume this is some sort of central locking?...wen i press it nothing happens...also wen i lock the doors u have to manually lock them with the key...including the boot.....any ideas?

It should have central locking by the sounds of it. Some do some dont. Checked the fuses?

i shud reali hava look..the red light is working and flashing...but im prety much confused bout car eletronics apart from subs and head units...haha...but if the red light is working that means the fuse isnt out ?
