Moist and Smelly

Has anyone experienced a damp smell in your cabin after it rains?

My 172 phase 2 has only started doing it recently and im wondering what it is. There doesnt appear to be any leaks.

Could it be the sudden change in air temperature when it starts raining, could it be something to do with the odour of the part leather part alcantara seats?

I havent got a clue! :dapprove:

Check under the back seats mate and in the wheel well in your boot for water . If there is any water there , its possible that its leaking water in one of the large black grommets where you lift the hatch . Remove the black grommet , put some silicone sealant around the hole then replace the grommet , if you can leave the hatch open for a while so the sealant goes off it will be better .
