More power!!

How can I get more power from my 1.2 16v. Ive read on here that the induction kit dont give any more? so what should I do based on a low budget?

The budget is not that low. I dont want to be dropping a new engine in yet. I want to try and squeeze as much power out of the 1.2 while I concentrate on styling. Then when my insurance drops I want a 172 engine. Anyone know if the engine could be dropped in?

To be honest m8, there isnt much power to be gained on a NA 1.2 with a low budget. If you do really want to go for a 172 engine a bit later on, you might as well do the styling of your car first.

Or another option, is to do nothing to your current car and save your money Then when your insurance is low enough, get a 172 or faster car. Now looking back I wish I did that too. Ive wasted to much money modding my previous cars hehe. Damn sound like a old fart.

Good call Chun. Yes, a filter is always the first thing to look at but its only really a stepping stone that will help if youre later on going for modding the internals. Youre never gonna set the world on fire with an NA 1.2 unfortunately. You could put nitrous on it, that would be a nice project and perfect for an otherwise standard engine.

Go for filter, decat and exhaust and 25/50hp nitrous and youre there.
