MOT fail - High Emmissions

  GSXR 600
Hi, had my MOT today and the car failed on high emmissions..

the carbon monoxide readings where 3.2 when they should have been under 0.3..

anyone got any ideas??

I'm thinking the CAT is no good??

cheers Tony.

  RS RIP
maybe defective Air to fuel ratio sensor, somewhere where the air comes in the manifold. When this one is broken, the car will run in some sort of emergency-setting, causing the car to run a lot richer. When this fail-safe does'nt work the engine will suffer damage from running to lean.
I remember this being a problem for the scooby-turbos, might help ....
