hopefully will fly through but just incase, any recomendations of certain things to check, brake should be fine tyres are good, seat belts work, lights are fine ...(bar one full beam) anything else i can do?

Check that your wiper blades aren't split or coming apart, my sis got caught out with this one, garage then charged £35 to change them to get it thru the MOT...

I guess youl fix the fullbeam before yes?

brake pads/disks
lights
shouldnt be a corrosion problem
as above wipers/washers
there is a guide in the guides section I'm sure I have forgot a few.

well break pads were change not so long ago so guess all the brakes will be fine. after all i do look afte rmy car a dam lot. what about sun stripes...i know they cant be too big, but incase how big??? mines only a tint aswell so you can see straigh through will that effect it?

Common problems are, rear coil springs breaking, and ARB links snapping, just a heads up.

Sun strips will be a fail IF your wiper blades touch the strip afaik

Yes that is correct, was talked about in another thread. People have fitted shorter wiper blades to get around this! lol

right cuz mine over lap lol but its only a 30% tint so not solid will that let me off?

i am sure i heard somewhere if the strip is applied inside the window then it doesnt count anyway? Might be complete BS though

know a couple of cars that have crept thru with a tinted strip. after all dad had a passat that had tint up the top from the factory
