Moving ISP, looking for recommendations...

  Dirty E91
So gave my months notice with my ISP today, been looking about at others but they all seem pretty much the same!

Bascially I'm after the fastest service I can get for under £20, mainly for surfing and gaming, not really into downloading stuff except for occasional photographs.

What do you guys reckon?

  SLK 350
Personally at the moment for that price i'd choose something like either, Newnet or IDnet.

Steer clear of F2S as i just migrated from them last week due to continual degradation of what used to be a good service - until Pipex fked them over that is.

Shame I was looking F2S!

Anyone else got any recommendations? Who are you guys using at the moment?

We used NTL (cable internet) last year without one single issue - best years worth of internet access I've ever had.

Going with Pipex this year (no longer in a cable area)

i been with tascali for 3 years never had a problem with them, plus they always offer you the same deals as new customers i.e speed upgrades and price reductions:D

cant fault them:)

Pipex/F2S/PlusNet/NDO/MetroNet are all suffering the same issues these days.

Personally i was with PlusNet for 11 months back when they were good. Then they started this whole 'badboy pipe' malarky and starting capping and throttling p2p ports. I then migrated to F2S.

Was then with F2S for 9 months, without issue then Pipex bought them out (also sh1te these days) and shafted over the service by introducing 'traffic shaping' and throttling p2p traffic. The service also (and currently is still) is suffering chronically from network issues on many gateways (principally GW2/GW5/GW6) and me being on GW6 am getting circa 300-500kbps from a line capable of 2048kbps~.

Im migrating to Newnet this week, but if i could afford it i'd choose Zen anyday.

with bulldog cant fault the actual connection and its cheap to. Just if you need to speak to someone at bulldog its bloody hard work.

Although had it a few months now and im still waiting on my bill arriving.

Pretty much agree. My old Bulldog connection was 100% stable and speeds were good.

The fact they overcharge people, can't work out how to send bills correctly and are impossible to speak to ultimately led to me and them parting company.
