Renault Clio 182
Hi guys its been some time I've not posted anything here. I still love Renault but the time came to change but not too far from the beaten track. Three years of ownership of my beloved Clio182 05 model in arctic blue, gave me miles of fun and trouble free motoring . But I wanted more power I'd outgrown its 2 litre capacity which i hasten to add is a phenomenal package and one of the best engines Renault designed for this car , but it was getting a little tiresome and other cars on the road were just leaving it behind. In its heyday it was one of the best hot hatches around, but it was just lacking now that bit extra. I gave it alot if thought , the only way to generate more power was either turbo or supercharger both of which were never designed to go on this engine and why should it, Renault did a perfectly good Job in the first place. So this lead me to one day go car shopping with a friend who was looking for a new car.
We went to Carbase in Bristol , thats where I first sat in a Nissan Nismo 370Z and that was it I was smitten. Since then I looked around and found a 370Z GT in red which is actually rare to see. It was a long trip to Dudley to visit a specialist dealer checking everything over and with a full service and mot under its belt, the deal was done. I'm now the proud owner of a car I thought I'd never own . It well out performs in stability and power, on a twisty road the clio more than likely has the edge, but overall performance it most certainly out performs. Do I miss my Clio hmmmm a little maybe but I'm not too far from its roots as the V6 the Nissan uses is the same V6 the Clio V6 uses. I'm very pleased and enjoying every mile all be it a little less on mpg but its worth it ?.
