Basically moving to a rotary, I already have pads/polishes etc etc from using them with my G220, so all i need is the rotary (silverline) a 125mm backing plate and a 73mm backing plate.

Nothing else is screaming out at me.....?!
Help quick please, want to order now!

From memory lad, yes. PM Matt at I4D. He is the best person and always helpful. ONly thing to check is backing plate size to pads etc.

Was just gonna make the order with them now.

Well I've got a 75mm backing plate for the Megs which is for the spot pads, and a 5" (125mm) one for 6" pads, which is basically the same?

Suppose its worth a pm to make sure it's right!

Backing plates are different with rotory mate. They screw onto the machine rather than screwing into it like the g220. Only thing you need to buy is a backing plate (make sure its a good one as they make the world of difference) and i also reccomend getting a spot backing plate. Got all my stuff from CYC.

^ I know mate, thats what I meant, the proper rotary ones.

How you mean, I was just going to go for the lake country ones (cheapest ;))??

Aye i think that will be ok. It says it has a flexible plastic center hub so thats the one i would get.

Nooooooo!

Get the 3M backing plate, otherwise you'll always be fighting with it slightly to control it. The LCC pad doesn't have enough give in it.

The Gloss It backing plates from Polished Bliss are even softer.

Yeah, that's a copy of the 3M one, it's not quite as nice to use, but it's loads better than the LCC ones, and the nasty cheaper ones.

I believe some people had problems with the velcro bit coming away, so go easy on it when you remove the pads after use...

Matt sells the 3M one - just send him an email, I'm sure he will swap it for you... it won't get processed until midday tomorrow anyway.

Or even better call him. TRUST ME on this, makes a HUGE difference. Especially for people moving from DA.

I'll drop him an email.
I take it they only do them in the 125mm diameters?
