mstation help

i have an mstation and left it in my computer when i formatted it. Now i cant install it. Im plugging it into the comp and i get ide bus disabled and host computer found but the msation never displays itself as a drive.
Ive put it in the car and i get harddrive error(or something very similair)

Starting to think that way. Good piece of kit when you can get it working.

Still at £50 id have 10 of you.

good pice of kit when you get it working. They sell for £500 in halfords-about £250 online and about £175 on ebay. prices vary dramatically.

I paid 220 about 18months ago and i was very happy with that price although its pissing me off now

No they are ok. Reading other newsgroups people only have good things to say about them.

Issues they have is firmware needs upgrading-easily done online.

They take up a station on your comp-in my case meant loosing my cd-writer

Many stereos dont have aux in which means you have to use the fm mnodulator(provided) to link it up to the stereo-sounds like radio quality

I have had mine for about 1 year and it work fine. Have done the firmware upgrades and put a 80gb hard drive in. Never had any problems with it i got the version 2.

Thanks paul thats the conclusion ive come to after reading other newsgroups but how do i do this without installing it on a comp?

I have another old comp ive wrecked trying to install this thing. the comp now boots up detects the mstation but nothing comes up on the monitor

So how do i formatt it?

Windows 98 paul.

The mstation is like a harddrive based cd changer. It has a 10 gb harddrive in basic form which stores about 3000 songs.
