National Trust visits

Most of the photos I take have subjects with an engine, 4 wheels and are generally capable of moving at significant speed. So I thought I'd try something different. And seeing as my good lady and I joined the National Trust this year I thought it might be fun to try grabbing a selection of photos from each place we visit (admittedly, a few are not National Trust but...)

So yeah, we've been spending the odd weekend wandering around old properties, perfectly manicured gardens and testing the cream teas at those very same venues. (We've had many a good cream tea, too). If nothing else, it was good to get some fresh air!

As much as I'd love an L-series lens I can't justify the price at present so I'm stuck with an aging Canon EOS 40D, the kit lens and a nifty fifty (which I haven't used yet!) Here's a selection of photos from various places.

Although I have a little bit of artistic ability and a few graphic design skills I find it doesn't necessarily mean photography comes easy; hence visits to the places above at least give opportunities to work on framing, composition, content/context and so on. However, and most importantly for me at least, it's a whole heap of fun. :D

Shots look good to me Andy, I just don't have a good eye when it comes to taking pics.
