NE1 removed the cd changer from their Mk2

Just been looking at mine as I will be removing it to fit my sony now that I can get an adapter that suits my needs.
I noticed that there are more wires than I expected.
What are the 2 wires that disappear into the seat for? And the one that disappears into the ground?
Any suggestions welcome - I guess one of the will go to the head-unit.
Thanks.

Ok - Im being stoopid again!
Ive just pulled the factory one out and there is only 1 lead (which is the one that goes under the floor) - I guess the other two are to do with the airbag?
Anyway, just tried to see how my 10disc sony would fit and it fints in perfectly if I never want to change the cds - doh!
I have to angle it up so that the caddy can be ejected - which seems a real pain to do.

So, anybody know where I can swap my 10disc for a smaller one - or even part ex it ?

whats up with the standard one? is it a vdo dayton like fitted to mine 6 disc? mine cost £300 to upgrade from renault as obviously no autochanger in there at all standard. what other stuff does the sony one do?

Sorry, I want a MiniDisc head unit and I own a sony one. So, I cant connect the changer to the sony so am buying a 6 disc mp3 changer to go there.
