Nero 8 Owners

I was wondering wether Nero 8 has the ability to convert avi to dvd?

My copy does but it takes forever though, my average spec pc took 5 hours to convert an avi movie (1h45 runtime) to DVD as it has to play it half speed to encode the movie to DVD format, the burning only took 2 minutes tho.

it should be available on all versions of nero, but i'm not too sure of essentials the free version you get with burners, interestingly ive found that the install disc for the basic verison has all the componants for the top-spec version only the CD-key restricts what you get.
